BRIEF
Outlier Leadership sought a corporate identity that captured the essence of being an "outlier" while remaining true to their African roots. The brand concept focused on the natural world, emphasising individualism, progressive views, and inclusion. The goal was to create a logo that reflected these ideas with simplicity and elegance. Alongside the logo, a unique pattern and bespoke colour scheme would represent both the vibrancy of African culture and the forward-thinking nature of the brand. The identity package would include the logo, stationery designs, and other corporate materials.
SOLUTION
Inspired by the fluidity and power of water, the logo reflects adaptive leadership and the balance between individuality and group dynamics. The logo mark features circles representing leadership, with a single water drop symbolising the outlier, standing alone yet contributing to the larger whole. This concept is reinforced by an orange circle, a point of distinction and representing the collective goals. A bespoke sans serif logotype adds corporate balance to the bold symbol, while the colour scheme features deep ocean blues and contrasting orange tones, embodying the African spirit and creating a vibrant, distinctive brand identity.
